Delegation Led by Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor Robin Hickey from Queen's University Belfast Visits CUPL Beijing Campus and Hainan International School
11月12日，英国贝尔法斯特女王大学（以下简称“女王大学”）协理副校长罗宾·希基（Robin Hickey）一行访问我校，副校长于飞参与会见。11月12-15日，女王大学协理副校长罗宾·希基（Robin Hickey）一行赴海南国际学院实地考察，并与海南国际学院、陵水国际教育创新试验区管理局举行交流座谈会。
On November 12th, a delegation led by Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor Robin Hickey from Queen's University Belfast (QUB) visited China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). Vice President Yu Fei met with the guests. From November 12th to 15th, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor Robin Hickey and his delegation visited CUPL Hainan International School (HIS) and had symposiums with HIS and the Administration Bureau of the Lingshui International Education Innovation Pilot Zone.

与我校座谈会上，于飞对罗宾·希基一行的到访表示热烈欢迎。他回顾了两校合作取得的积极进展，对双方团队在推动中外合作办学项目前期工作中展现的专业精神与务实态度表示赞赏。他表示，作为罗素集团知名高校，女王大学在人文社科领域享有卓著声誉，与中国政法大学在人才培养目标和学科建设方向上高度契合，希望双方本着稳步推进、重点突破的原则，率先启动条件成熟领域的合作项目，为未来全面合作筑牢根基。期待以此次访问为契机，推动两校在人才培养、学术研究和文化交流等领域建立全方位、高质量的合作伙伴关系，携手共创美好未来。
During the symposium, Yu Fei extended a warm welcome to Robin Hickey and his delegation. He reviewed the positive progress achieved in the cooperation between the two universities and commended the professionalism and pragmatic approach demonstrated by both teams in the preliminary work of promoting the sino-foreign cooperative education programs. He stated that, as a prestigious university within the Russell Group, QUB enjoys an outstanding reputation in the fields of humanities and social sciences, aligning closely with CUPL in talent cultivation and disciplinary development. He expressed the hope that, adhering to the principle of making steady progress and achieving key breakthroughs, both sides take the lead in launching cooperative programs in mature areas to lay a solid foundation for comprehensive collaboration in future. He looked forward to building on the momentum of this visit to promote the establishment of an all-round, high-quality partnership between the two universities in areas such as talent cultivation, academic research, and cultural exchange, working together to create a brighter future.
罗宾·希基对我校的周到安排表示衷心感谢。他表示，女王大学高度重视与中国政法大学的伙伴关系，两校都致力于培养具有全球视野、能够应对全球性挑战的复合型卓越人才，这为两校顺畅的合作交流奠定了坚实基础。今年恰逢女王大学180周年校庆，希望两校能借此契机通力合作推动法学合作项目落地见效，并以此为起点，逐步拓展至政治学、国际关系、经济学等相关人文社科领域，通过共建合作项目、推动师资交流、开展联合科研等方式，实现优势互补与协同发展，共同为促进中英人文教育交流作出积极贡献。
Robin Hickey expressed his sincere gratitude for the thoughtful arrangements made by our university. He stated that QUB highly values its partnership with CUPL. Both universities are committed to cultivating outstanding interdisciplinary talents with global perspectives and the ability to address global challenges, which has laid a solid foundation for smooth cooperation and exchange between the two universities. Coinciding with the 180th anniversary of QUB this year, he hoped that both universities could seize this opportunity to collaborate effectively in bringing the cooperation project to fruition. He proposed that both sides could gradually expand cooperation to related humanities and social sciences fields such as Political Science, International Relations, and Economics. Through jointly establishing cooperative programs, promoting faculty exchanges, and conducting joint research, both sides will leverage their respective strengths to achieve synergistic development, making positive contributions to the promotion of Sino-British cultural and educational exchanges in collaborative efforts.

座谈会上，罗宾·希基一行就法学、政治学等相关学科的合作办学进展、面临的问题及下一步推进计划等事宜，与我校民商经济法学院、政治与公共管理学院代表进行了深入研讨，并在多项关键环节达成共识。
During the symposium, Robin Hickey and his delegation held in-depth discussions with representatives from the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School and the School of Political Science and Public Administration of CUPL on the progress, challenges, and next-step plans for cooperative education programs in Law, Political Science, and related disciplines, reaching consensus on several key aspects.
女王大学代表团赴海南实地考察期间，罗宾·希基一行实地考察校区建设情况、教学设施、教职工住宿、配套生活设施等，并与海南国际学院、陵水国际教育创新试验区管理局、中央民族大学海南国际学院等单位就办学空间、合作模式、教学实施和生活保障安排等方面进行交流座谈。陵水国际教育创新试验区管理局教学服务部部长范启标、对外交流合作部副部长金逍宵等参加座谈。
During their visit in Hainan, the QUB delegation led by Robin Hickey viewed the campus construction, teaching facilities, faculty accommodation, and supporting living facilities. They also had symposiums with the Hainan International School, the Administration Bureau of the Lingshui International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, and the Hainan International School of Minzu University of China regarding aspects such as academic space, cooperation models, teaching implementation, and arrangements for living support. Fan Qibiao, Director of the Academic Affairs Department, and Jin Xiaoxiao, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department from the Administration Bureau of the Lingshui International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, participated in the discussions.

贝尔法斯特女王大学历史、人类学、哲学与政治学学部院长詹姆斯·戴维斯，法学院前院长琼·洛瑞，国际处国际伙伴高级经理冯艺随同访问。我校民商经济法学院、政治与公共管理学院、海南国际学院、国际合作与交流处、教务处等单位代表参加校际会谈，海南自贸港法治研究院、海南国际学院主要负责同志全程陪同在琼实地考察及相关座谈。
The visiting delegation included James Davis, Head of the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics; Joan Loughrey, former Head of the School of Law; and Feng Yi, Senior Partnerships Manager from the International Partnership Team. Representatives from CUPL Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School, School of Political Science and Public Administration, Hainan International School, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Office of Academic Affairs participated in the inter-university talks. Directors from CUPL Hainan Free Trade Port Legal Research Institute and CUPL Hainan International School fully accompanied the QUB delegation’s visit in Hainan.
